Believe it or not, i have been very busy since my last blog! As a lot of you know i am in a production called Me and my girl.
Me and my girl is a musical and takes place in the 1930's in hampshire, mayfair and of course Lambeth. The play opens with 'A weekend in hareford' where we are all introduced to a haughty family of aristocrats whom are searching for the new earl of hareford. To whom they find Bill snibson to be the next in line. Bill is from Lambeth, a cockney costermonger! As soon as he meets his long lost family it is obvious he doesnt belong and is forced to learn the ways of being 'fit and proper'
Bill is in love with a girl named Sally Smith, also from lambeth and bill's family is firmly against him seeing her and they do everything to part them. At first they prevail, sally leaves bill and returns to lambeth but Bill follows her. In the mean time, Sir john, a family friend decides to help sally to find a way of bill and sally getting back together by teaching sally how to fit in to the hareford family, which she does and bill and sally get married and live happily ever after!!!
And thats the show i am in, ive been rehearsing since april and throughout summer, its a long process but at the end its all worth it..I'm only a chorus member, i play a cockney, a maid and im also in the hunt ball scene where i get to wear the prettiest dress ever!
